Where: Poland (50.6° N, 16.6° E)
• Paleocoordinates: 30.5° S, 9.9° E (Wright 2013)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Palmatolepis expansa conodont zone, Main Limestone Member (Wapnica Formation), Late/Upper Famennian (365.2 - 358.9 Ma)
• PJW: Given as "Main Limestone" but that name is used for many other formations. It used to be called "Hauptkalk", which means (wait for it...) "Main Chalk" or "Main Limestone" and thus certainly has been used elsewhere, too. Although Berkowski (2002) was uncommitted, other works make this the first member of the Wapnica Formation
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; lithified limestone and lithified shale
Size classes: macrofossils, microfossils
Collection methods: peel or thin section,
