When: Gibraltar Limestone Formation, Late/Upper Sinemurian (196.5 - 189.6 Ma)

• Although quarry is type locality for Catalan Bay Shales, they were not exposed until the quarry was extended in 1943. At the time the brachiopods were collected, only the Gibraltar Limestone Formation was exposed.
