Where: Quebec, Canada (49.4° N, 62.4° W: paleocoordinates 21.9° S, 35.7° W)

When: Becscie Formation, Rhuddanian (443.4 - 440.8 Ma)

• Small gully collected cuts through strata of the lower Becscie Formation, including the Biohermal Unit and the Oncolite Bed, and into the top of the Ellis Bay Formation, of Ordovician age. Collection made 4.5 m above top of Platform Bed.

Environment/lithology: open shallow subtidal; lithified, gray limestone

• hard, slabby, evenly bedded, and tan to grey limestones...locally very fossiliferous but other parts appear entirely to lack fossils
