Where: Gotland, Sweden (57.3° N, 18.6° E)

• Paleocoordinates: 8.8° S, 49.2° W (Wright 2013)

When: Monograptus belophorus conodont zone, G Member (Slite Formation), Sheinwoodian (432.9 - 430.6 Ma)

• From a core. Monograptus flexilis = Monograptus belophorus zone. Also in the Kochella walliseri zone.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: mudstone

• bituminous mudstone

Size classes: mesofossils, microfossils

Collection methods: The slightly calcareous sample (0.1423 kg) was broken down by the petroleum ether/kerosene method (Jeppsson & Anehus 1999: 58). In addition to Jinonicella, the residue included graptolites, conodonts and a pyritised small brachiopod(?). The fraction above 1 mm yielded fragments of an odontopleurid trilobite (pers. comm. Per Ahlberg).
