When: Speetoniceras versicolor ammonoid zone, Late/Upper Hauterivian (136.4 - 130.0 Ma)

• Upper portion of the Speetoniceras versicolor Zone, upper Hauterivian, Lower Cretaceous on the right bank of the Volga river. The horizon is level g-5 in local stratigraphy

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: offshore; lithified, nodular, phosphatic, pyritic shale and lithified siltstone

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: original phosphate, replaced with pyrite
