When: Ancyrodelloides trigonicus conodont zone, La Valute Formation, Early/Lower Devonian (419.2 - 393.3 Ma)

Environment/lithology: lithified limestone

• The lower 5 m of the section consists of well-bedded gray limestone of La Valute Fm., and the upper part of purple red wavy bedded to nodular limestone of the Findenig Fm. The transition between the two units is gradual and marked by the colour change between samples LV 7A and LV 8 (Corriga et al., 2011).
