• From the middle or possibly lower part of the Sugota beds. Sugota Formation contains diatoms of zones NPD 5A and 5B, indicating Serravallian age.

Environment/lithology: transition zone or lower shoreface; unlithified, coarse-grained, muddy sandstone

• "Probably in the range of 30-50 fathoms
• Muddy sandstone, rather loose in texture and coarse grained in part.
