• From the "Tanagura beds", which now appears to be the Kubota Formation by comparison of the lithological descriptions. Kubota Formation dated to early Tortonian on the basis of magnetostratigraphy, fission track and K/Ar ages, and diatom, radiolarian, and planktonic foraminiferal biostratigraphy (Hayashi et al., 2002).
