• Fossils from 3200 feet and deeper below surface. Age listed in David 1946 as "Eogene" reflecting the author's interpretation of the age of the rocks as late Eocene to potentially early Oligocene. Formation as a whole now regarded as late middle Eocene to Eocene (see chapters in USGS Professional Paper 1713).
