Environment/lithology: "floodplain"; hematitic claystone and medium-grained sandstone

• Description. A low cut-bank on the west side of the river exposes

•medium- to fine-grained sandstones, iron claystones and coal

•dipping to the north. Podozamites occurs as branch fragments in the

•ironstones and some poorly preserved wood fragments are present

•in the sandstones.

•Interpretation. Floodplain interfluve with channel sands, ponds, and

•mires.
