Taxonomy
Cardiomorpha doulingensis was named by Fang (1987). Its type specimen is NIGP 71846, a valve (Left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Douling, Changning (Douling Fm, Upper Mb), which is in a Wuchiapingian marine mudstone in the Douling Formation of China.
