Taxonomy
Palaeolima middlemissi was named by Nakazawa (1981). Its type specimen is GSI 19431 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Guryul Ravine Bed 45, Member D, which is in a Changhsingian marine limestone in the Zewan Formation of India.
