Taxonomy
Daonella vavilovi was named by Kurushin (1998). Its type specimen is TsSGM 2003/4 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Darka river, outcrop 54, Kharaulakh Range, which is in a Fassanian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
