Taxonomy
Taimyrodon taimyrensis was named by Kurushin (1985). Its type specimen is IGiG 753/283 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tsvetkov Cape, outcrop 1, layer 18, eastern Taimyr, which is in a Spathian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
