Macoma (Rexithaerus) panzana
Taxonomy
Macoma panzana was named by Wiedey (1928). Its type specimen is SDSNH 38, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LSJU loc. 432, which is in a Miocene coastal sandstone in the Temblor Formation of California.
It was recombined as Macoma secta panzana by Loel and Corey (1932); it was recombined as Macoma (Rexithaerus) panzana by Moore (2003).
