Taxonomy
Kolymia rutskovi was named by Biakov (2021). Its type specimen is NEISRI 12/02-06.106, a valve (right valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Sample 346/1, Peschanaya River, Pronchishchev Ridge, which is in a Roadian marine sandstone in the Kozhevnikov Formation of the Russian Federation.
