Environment/lithology: prodelta; lithified, gray, green, yellow, carbonaceous mudstone

Collection methods: There are other organisms in the Maotianshan shale biota and are mentioned in the article only to stress that several animal phyla had already invaded the mid water environment by Early Cambrian times.
