Where: Barrandia, Czech Republic (49.5° N, 14.3° E: paleocoordinates 29.8° S, 39.0° E)
When: Acanthopyge Limestone Member, Eifelian (393.3 - 387.7 Ma)
Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; shelly/skeletal, gray grainstone and shelly/skeletal wackestone
• "shallow sutidal or even intertidal zone (Benthic Assemblage 3 and possibly 2)."
• "light grey biosparites with variable grain size. Thick layers of coarser bioclastic limestone with evidently transported and reworked tabulates and stromatoporoids, alternate with thinner-bedded light biosparites. Locally, there are biomicrites with fragile clusters of rugose corals that show no trace of redeposition."
