Environment/lithology: marine; shale and limestone

• Fourth member of the Paradise formation.- This member is one of the

•most fossiliferous parts of the Paradise formation, though less so than

•the overlying main oolite. It com, prises about 14 feet of shales and

•thin-bedded limestones with a massive

•bed of black limestone near the

•middle. This member is badly crumpled

•in the section of Table 2. The

•fauna includes the following forms

•obtained mostly from the black limestone

•mentioned.
