When: Surrett Canyon Formation, Chesterian (335.5 - 323.2 Ma)

• The Surrett Canyon is underlain by the South Creek Fm. and overlain gradationaly by the Arco Hills Fm.

Environment/lithology: peloidal, shelly/skeletal wackestone and shelly/skeletal, argillaceous wackestone

• Teh first 173m of this section represent a uniform sequence of sparse wackestones, fossiliferous mudstones, and skeletal-pelletoidal wackestones. A single argillaceous bioclastic packstone occurs near the top of this segment. A second group of lithollogically distinct units are separated from the lower units by approx. 20 m of covered slope. This segment consists of a brachiopod-bryozoan packstone. The remainder of the Surrett Canyon Fm. is covered at section E.
