• The few evidence availabe points to an age between Upper Miocene and Pleistocene, i.e., most likely, Pliocene (Bailon et al., 2002).

Environment/lithology: karst; poorly lithified, pebbly, quartzose, red, calcareous mudstone

• "This fossil site rests directly on Jurassic dolomite. The silts forming the infill are markedly red" (Seguí, 2001).

M. cyclopeus and birds are the most common animals (Seguí, 2001).

•The paratypes of P. minoricensis are not explicitly referred to a particular locality by Seguí (2001). However, their position within the listing and their catalogue numbers suggest, that they come from site 3. (TL)
