• The assemblage is typical of the Early Miocene Santacrucian South American Land Mammal Age (Patterson and Pascual, 1972).

• Tw: Reworked ash-fall materials mixed with other sediments and deposited in tide-influence settings with subsequent marine bioturbation, and in fluvial settings with sub-aereal exposure and pedogenetic pedogenetic modification
