• Assignment to Sierra Madre based on geographic location; assignment on geologic criteria questioned by authors. Recently, Alvarado-Ortega et al. (2009) found that the fishes found at El Chango (and El Espinal) indicate a Cenomanian age. The presence of the ammonite Graysonites indicate an early Cenomanian age (Moreno-Bedmar et al. 2014).
