Where: Chad (16.3° N, 18.7° E: paleocoordinates 16.2° N, 18.4° E)
• coordinate stated in text
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Zanclean (5.3 - 3.6 Ma)
• According to De Bonis et al. (2008), the geologic age of the main KB locality has been estimated to be about 5 Ma by biochronologic estimation and about 5.3 Ma by radiometric studies on cosmogenic nuclides of beryllium (authigenic 10B/9B). However, KB24 is "much younger" according to Geraads et al. (2009);.
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
