Environment/lithology: deep subtidal; shelly/skeletal dolomite and dolomitic lime mudstone

• "Very fossiliferous, mostly intact camerate calices and rarer blastozoan thecae lacking appendages..plus large debris..no complete crowns...frequent root systems, but not dense aggregations...brachiopods, mostly still articulated, are rather rare...most trilobites incomplete...community closely associated with sizable lime mud-cored mounds, often peripheral to other very high-dominance echinoderm associations...themselves often surrounding the core...The fauna was evidently subject to some wave activity, perhaps periodic storms, but was likely below or just at normal wave base. A probable BA 3 community."
