"In light of the presence of Pristiograptus gregarius in the underlying formation, and the presence in the lower part of this formation of Borealis, it was assigned to the late Middle Llandoverian. The upper part of the formation containing Stricklandia, Merciella, Paraconchidium, and Virgianella was assigned to the earliest Late Llandovery." Above Lungmachi Fm. and below Leijiatun Fm.
