Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; lithified, gray, cherty/siliceous limestone and lithified, gray, calcareous shale

• "Limestone, medium to dark gray, and dark gray calcareous shales and mudstones, limestone beds from a few inches to 15 feet thick, gradational to shaly interbeds. Fossil fragments common. Black chert nodules present in the limestones."
