Environment/lithology: fluvial-deltaic; lenticular, tabular, fine-grained sandstone and red mudstone

• within a larger coarsening upward sequence interpreted as a fluvio-deltaic progradation in lacustrine conditions; at site, deposit is interpreted as "proximal fluvial mouthbar deposits".
• L2 lithofacies consists of "finely laminated reddish siltstones; some levels contain fluidization structures...interbedded with fine sandstones in which climbing ripples are observed. These layers display lenticular to tabular geometry, and carbonate levels occur in their upper portion."
