Also known as Reef 3745
Where: Okayama-ken, Japan (34.7° N, 133.4° E: paleocoordinates 4.7° S, 79.4° E)
• coordinate stated in text
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Hina Limestone Formation, Visean (346.7 - 330.9 Ma)
• Endothyra zone to Mediocris mediocris zone
• member-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; limestone
Size class: macrofossils
Collection methods: quarrying, peel or thin section
• Most materials treated in this study were collected as float pebbles and cobbles along the Shigi-gawa River, which traverses the the Hina Limestone masses in a north-south direction. The sampling took place in the Kamishigi region of Shitsuki-gun, Yoshii-cho, Okayama Prefecture. All float specimens came from the Hina Limestone, although several specimens were collected directly from outcrops that belong to the Endothyra Zone through Mediocris mediocris zone of MATSUE
