Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; sandstone

• Deposits probably formed in very shallow water. The deposit is interpreted as having formed as a channel-concentrate in shallow sublittoral conditions.

Collection methods: bulk

• Samples of 2-3kg were taken in Baroarson's horizons. Quantitative mollusc analyses were carried out on about 1kg of each sample by picking apart the material.
