• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Navesink, which at this section unconformably overlies the Mount Laurel Sand (Campanian), and is regionally overlain by the Red Bank Sand (Maastrichtian). AGE: Late Campanian on the basis of ammonite biostratigraphy; Nostoceras hyatti zone. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From 0.9 m above base of the section.
