Belongs to Alanites according to A. A. Shevyrev 1995
Sister taxa: Alanites costatus, Alanites laevis, Alanites mulleri, Alanites obesus
Type specimen: PIN 1477/296. Its type locality is Tkhach River, left source, Laboceras-Megaphyllites beds, which is in a Bithynian marine carbonate in the Acheshbok Formation of the Russian Federation.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 18.0
Distribution:
• Triassic of Romania (1 collection), the Russian Federation (1)
