Type specimen: SMNS 91427 (A partial left dentary with five complete teeth, one partially preserved tooth, and two represented only by impressions; impression of the anterior portion of t). Its type locality is Vellberg-Eschenau, which is in a Longobardian estuary/bay claystone in the Erfurt Formation of Germany.

Distribution: found only at Vellberg-Eschenau
