Type specimen: CMNH 3443, a cephalon/head. Its type locality is Railroad cut near Spergen Hill, which is in a Meramecian carbonate limestone in the Salem Formation of Indiana.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution: found only at Railroad cut near Spergen Hill
