Belongs to Pappocricetodon according to H. Gomes Rodrigues et al. 2010

Type specimens:
- Pappocricetodon antiquus: Its type locality is Shanghuang Quarry, fissure D, which is in an Eocene fissure fill limestone in China
- Palasiomys yuanquensis: IVPP V13734, a tooth (Right M1). Its type locality is Huoshipo, Guojiazhuang Village, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Hedi Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of China (3 collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
