Type specimen: IVPP V 17806, a maxilla. Its type locality is Urtyn Obo "Upper Red" Beds, which is in an Ulangochuian terrestrial sandstone/mudstone in the Ulan Gocho Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Urtyn Obo "Upper Red" Beds
