Type specimen: Its type locality is 2 miles south of Andranosamonta, which is in an Oxfordian marine horizon in the Oolite Formation of Madagascar

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at 2 miles south of Andranosamonta
