Type specimen: Amer. Mus. 26001, a partial skull (cranium with maxillary rostrum wanting, dentition damaged). Its type locality is Urtyn Obo "Middle White" or "Gray" Beds, which is in an Ulangochuian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Ulan Gocho Formation of China.
