Type specimen: GP/IT 2039, a shell. Its type locality is Cape Melville Fm -Penguin Rookery section, King George Island, which is in a Miocene offshore sandstone in the Cape Melville Formation of Antarctica.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal deposit feeder-suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Cape Melville Fm -Penguin Rookery section, King George Island
