Type specimen: U. Iowa J.B. Owen Coll. 6154, a shell. Its type locality is Loc. 42. Waste banks of the Missouri Public Service pits, just north of Clinton, which is in a Desmoinesian carbonate limestone/shale in the Cabaniss Formation of Missouri.
