Type specimen: DGM 568, a partial skull (braincase and sphenethmoid region of skull). Its type locality is Companhia National de Cimento Portland Quarry, which is in a Paleocene/Eocene fissure fill limestone in Brazil.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Companhia National de Cimento Portland Quarry
