Sister taxa: Angelosaurus dolani, Angelosaurus greeni

Type specimen: FMNH (CNHM) UR 827, a set of postcrania (pelvis, right femur, vertebrae, some with associated ribs and/or chevrons). Its type locality is KF-1, Omega Quarry (Chickasha Formation), which is in a Roadian/Wordian channel sandstone/conglomerate in the Chickasha Formation of Oklahoma.
