Type specimen: USNM 109001, an exoskeleton (Complete enrolled exoskeleton). Its type locality is USNM703, Old Word Ranch, Glass Mountains, which is in a Roadian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Road Canyon Formation of Texas.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder
Distribution: found only at USNM703, Old Word Ranch, Glass Mountains
