Sister taxa: Anisopyge cooperi, Anisopyge inornata, Anisopyge perannulata
Type specimen: USNM 172971, a pygidium. Its type locality is USNM9258, Sierra Los Cuchumatanes (FS-67-G-7), which is in a Kungurian marine limestone in the Chochal Formation of Guatemala.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder
Distribution: found only at USNM9258, Sierra Los Cuchumatanes (FS-67-G-7)
