Type specimen: CPC 9348, a valve (Dorsal valve). Its type locality is BMR Du508, Thuriba Homestead, which is in a Wordian marine siliciclastic in the Oxtrack Formation of Australia.

Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at BMR Du508, Thuriba Homestead
