Sister taxa: Presbyornis mongoliensis, Presbyornis pervetus, Presbyornis recurvirostrus
Type specimen: USNM 29416, a limb element (left humerus). Its type locality is Liverpool Point, which is in a Paleocene marine horizon in the Aquia Formation of Maryland.
Ecology: volant herbivore
Distribution:
• Paleocene of United States (2: Maryland, North Dakota collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
