Sister taxa: Pleuristion, Pleuristion brachycoelous
Type specimen: MCZ 1478, a partial skull. Its type locality is Rattlesnake Canyon (Admiral Fm.), which is in an Artinskian terrestrial horizon in the Petrolia Formation of Texas.
Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-herbivore
Distribution:
• Permian of United States (4: Oklahoma, Texas collections)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
