Sister taxon: Rothianiscus robusta

Type specimen: FMNH (CNHM) UR 87, a partial skull (lower jaw and braincase). Its type locality is Locality HA ("Lower San Angelo Fm."), which is in a Kungurian/Roadian fluvial claystone/conglomerate in the San Angelo Formation of Texas.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-herbivore

Distribution:
