Type specimen: AMNH 44069, a valve (Left valve). Its type locality is AMNH B8517, Cottonwood Pass, which is in a Spathian shallow subtidal limestone in the Moenkopi Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: facultatively mobile low-level epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Triassic of United States (4: Nevada collections)

Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
