Type specimen: Los Angeles Museum number 991, a limb element (left coracoid). Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 59, Lincoln Avenue deposit, Playa del Rey, which is in a Pleistocene marginal marine sandstone in the Palos Verdes Sand Formation of California.
